Rally Forever - Positive Event for Positive Mental Health
On Wednesday the 24th of June the Centennial Park Trust and The Corrilee Foundation generously hosted a round robin tennis fundraising event for the newly developed program Rally Forever.
Rally Forever aims to create a new frontier for mental health by helping people thrive through physical activity and human connection. This event was a fantastic way to introduce the objectives of the program and to give people a real and practical sense of what it is all about.
Founder of Rally Forever Louise Pleming, former professional tennis player, coach and Grand Slam commentator had the opportunity to share her story of Rally Forever and create awareness in how positive movement can be for our mental health.
Louise told those at the event how the idea was triggered by an experience with a gentleman hard on his luck who reached out to her for a tennis lesson. “He approached me for a lesson, told me about his circumstances and it was clear after a period of time connecting and giving him some time, a positive situation was created where he could be physically active and engage. Over a three and a half year period, creating the opportunity to be active and connected truly showed to me just how positive it was for his mental health.”
The fundraising event held on Wednesday saw 24 keen tennis players from all over Sydney creating an uplifting, positive atmosphere for everyone involved. All participants had the opportunity to play in the round robin event with Louise, current professional player Alex Osborne and former professional tennis player Jess Moore. While the event was intended to be an awareness launch we were very fortunate to make close to $900.

Rally Forever would like to thank Centennial Park for the opportunity to use their tennis courts and club area for such a positive fundraising event. Rally Forever would love everyone to get involved and be a part of this genuine uplifting concept. Together we can all live healthier lives.
The Cova Project
“In October 2019, The Cova Project held its first fundraising event, to raise funds for the purchase and distribution of menstrual cups to developing communities across Africa. We approached the event with an ambitious fundraising goal of $50,000 and exceeded that goal, thanks to our supporters and donors. An important part of raising these funds during our first event was having a speaker who brought experience and credibility to the night. Tanya from The CorriLee Foundation worked tirelessly to help us connect with Gretel Killeen, who spoke on her personal experiences with women from Nigeria and Kenya and inspired our crowd.
Tanya shows immense dedication to ensuring charities tackling difficult subject matter are as successful in their work as possible. She brings people together, sharing the same philosophy as The Cova Project, that collaboration moves everyone forward. Shae's Night
Tanya Lee and the Corrilee Foundation were instrumental in the success of the Comedy Spectacular Dinner held on 23rd October 2019 at Canterbury Hurlstone Park RSL Club. The Dinner raised $63,000 for the Shae Gibson Women’s Cancer Support Fund, which operates through the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse. These funds will greatly assist women experiencing many costs in managing their cancer, to enable them to focus on recovery. Tanya’s experience in managing major fundraising events assisted greatly in the planning and conduct of the event, including her management of the comedic talent! The Shae Fund Committee expresses our sincere thanks for Tanya and the Corrilee Foundation’s support!

We had a marvellous fundraising event at the Paddington RSL for The Snow Manjushree Orphanage in Kathmandu.
We raised eight thousand dollars for The Manjushree orphanage.
Fabulous performances from Christa Hughes, Fiona O’Loughlin, Wendy Matthews, Jeff Duff all accompanied by Peter Northcote and his band.

A little word from Tony Mott:
In 1996 a walked the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal and met and interviewed Mantok a Tibetan girl 15 years old and had a story published in Dolly magazine comparing the lifestyles of a mountain Tibetan girl and a 15 year old girl from the suburbs of Sydney , 20 years later I went back to Nepal and the Annapurna circuit and tried to find Mantok to see how her life had turned out, she was from a village of 3oo people, however spending a day there I could not find her, at the end of the day I was in a tea house and lady said the Shepard girl bringing her goats into the village knew everybody and unbelievably she was mantic sister!!! Long story short she had married a policeman from Kathmandu what a little girl, the bad news was her husband dies of cancer and she ended up in an orphanage in Kathmandu, the Snow Manjurshee orphanage, I visited the orphanage and saw first hand the great work they do. The CorriLee Foundation, Homeloans and ICM will be hosting an evening at Norton Rose Fulbright to showcase the incredible achievements and work of the Australian based organisation Food Ladder.
Food Ladder is an award winning not-for-profit organisation, the world’s first social business to use hydroponic greenhouses and environmentally sustainable technologies to create food and economic security for disadvantaged communities internationally and in remote communities in Australia otherwise reliant on aid and affected by poverty.
